Riverside Dental opening!

We arrived in Noosa early Thursday morning for the launch party of Dr Patrick O’Rourke’s new practice!

Riverside Dental - the opening

Very excited on two counts: one, to be in Queensland and away from the 42 degree heat in Perth and two, finally put a face to the person attached to all the emails for the last six plus months!

That’s right, I’ve never met our client until the opening party! Anthony flew over just as construction was about to begin last October, but the entire design process was done via phone and email… and I must admit, we like to work this way!

It works for a couple of reasons; firstly we are able to send emails whenever we have a question or drawings ready and our clients (who are very busy) can respond at a time convenient to them (often 9:30 at night or during lunch breaks;-)!).

Also, our ‘out of WA’ clients are able to have phone conversations with us when they have finished seeing patients while we are still in business hours in Perth due to the time difference! Perfect!

Anyway, back to the party! Patrick and his wife, Mary were extremely welcoming and gladly gave us the guided tour of the practice – it looks fantastic (even if we do say so ourselves) and Patrick assures us that it works really well, too! Which, of course, we knew it would!

We were pleased to meet the team from Dentifit who constructed our design and did a fabulous job! Then, Patrick made a speech which was very warm and genuinely thankful to everyone involved. Our pleasure, Patrick!

And off down the road to the river for more drinks and nibblies! You would find Anthony and myself with Brett, Jenny, Paul and Lisa from Dentifit debriefing and deconstructing the entire project in between drinks and hors douvres. We all agreed a job well done!

We are so pleased at the successful outcome of this project and wish Patrick all the success in his new practice in this lovely part of the world!

So, we are here for another couple of days – hopefully it has cooled down by the time we get back to Perth. Although, I could do without the tsunami warnings we had today (all OK though!)
